Maya Festival 2019
This year’s theme was “Why the immigrants come”, inspired by the painting by Paula Nicho Cúmez, a Kaqchikel Maya from San Juan Comalapa, Guatemala.
An all-day celebration of Maya culture, featuring the Bay Area Guatemalan and Yucatec communities! Traditional Maya dances, with jaraneros from Asociación Mayab and dances by Mayan Cultural Exchange. Maya ceremony, traditional dresses, and much more.
